The Tyler Sister Cities organization is pleased to announce the generosity of East Texans will soon be felt in Jelenia Góra, Poland.
After experiencing unprecedented flooding in September, residents of Jelenia Góra have been working to restore homes, businesses and livelihoods.
A fundraiser promptly arranged by Tyler Sister Cities raised $1,311.95 in donations from members of the community, businesses, and other organizations.
A spokesperson for Jelenia Góra said the support will have an immediate impact.
“On behalf of Mayor Jerzy Łużniak and all the residents, we thank you very much. You are true friends!”
Tyler has been sister cities with Jelenia Góra since 1993, and the relationship continues to be strong today.
