The Tyler Sister Cities organization is preparing for an exciting 2025 year ahead, with several major events and the launch of new projects.

None of this will be possible without your support and involvement. Please take a moment to review these updates on key areas of focus.

MEMBERSHIP

We are embarking on a membership drive in the first half of 2025. Your involvement and support are critical to our mission to make a difference. Have you been involved in Tyler Sister Cities in the last 10 years? Have your membership dues lapsed? Now is the perfect time to get re-engaged and be a part of the exciting momentum building right now.

We’d like to recognize our latest renewals and new members: Krist Swimberghe, Reiko Nakamura, and Summer Hayward.

By the way, our recently amended organization bylaws are available for review on our website.

DELEGATION VISITS

We are preparing to host our first delegation visit since the COVID-19 pandemic pause. This October 14-21, 2025 Tyler will host a small delegation from our sister city of Jelenia Góra, Poland. Four representatives and an interpreter will be in Tyler during the Texas Rose Festival.

These are some of our current logistical needs:

  • Securing meals, hotel accommodations
  • Developing an itinerary of activities, meetings for delegates
  • Transportation from DFW and around Tyler
  • Locating guides/interpreters
  • Sponsorships from Tyler area businesses, organizations

Planning is also underway for the upcoming 12-person delegation from our sister city of Yachiyo City, Japan next year, on March 24-31, 2026.

These are exciting opportunities for cultural exchange and possible business and educational connections. Individuals and businesses/groups interested in being involved in planning and/or supporting these delegation visits, should contact Tyler Sister Cities by emailing info@tylersistercities.org.
